This is my mood board which portrays the beauty of nature as an inspiration for creative writing. The majority of photos used have been taken by myself, and so, have meaning to me. The line situated off centre, represents my life line. It runs down the picture, telling a story of where I have been, what I have seen and what I have felt.

  The laser touch screen would have a light blue optics that will create a 10’inch touch screen on any flat surface. The touch screen would have images of every piece of clothing that the client has in their wardrobe. They can choose singular items or have outfits put together, e.g. a top and pants. The laser touch screen also has a barcode application allowing the client to scan in a new clothing item which is saved on the laser touch screen memory. For pre existing clothing without the barcode, a photograph can be taken and entered into the system via Bluetooth, SD card or USB. The system will then generate a 3D image from this. Once projected, the user can either press ‘yes’ or ‘no’ as to whether they want to wear the particular piece of clothing. Once the clothing worn has been washed and is back in the wardrobe, the system requires the user to scan the barcode of the clean clothing again.

Once clothing has been selected, the projector will show the clothing on the user’s body as if they were actually wearing it. The projector is located on top of a full length mirror. The projector includes sensors which detect movement. This enables the projector to place the ‘clothing’ on the user accurately.

Here is what I’ve been talking about. This is the laser machine in which the person chooses what piece of clothing they want to try on…our idea of the clothing projection takes this idea one step further. When the pieces of clothing have been selected, the laser machine sends the images to the projection machine to then project these images in life size form onto the users body.

Taking the idea further, Retail stores could use this device in their change rooms. This would reduce shoplifting and damage of clothing.

Yes, I do believe there is a need for the product as people who have trouble deciding what to wear and those who want to save time will benefit from it.

Long term or short term need?

Both as it is probable that people will continue to wear clothing for many years to come.

Perhaps would be around $150

Yes as the device could be used in many different fields.
